Cemetery Information

The City of Lake Alfred has two cemeteries, Oak Grove and Lake Lowery. The City Clerk’s office is responsible for plot sale information and maintaining an up-to-date database of cemetery occupants and plot owners. To obtain information, please call (863) 291-5747

Lake Lowery Cemetery is owned operated by the city and is located to the north of the intersection of the Haines City/Lake Alfred Road and the crossing of the Main Line Railroad.

Oak Grove Cemetery is owned and operated by the city, located at the intersection of U.S. Highway 17/92 and Experiment Station Road.

Foundations will be required for all monuments and markers of every description. The foundation for all monuments and markers shall be built by the city and will be charged in accordance with the fee schedule below:

Single monuments: $75.00

Double monuments: $150.00

Sizes and dimensions of markers are as follows:

(1)  Family memorial:

Width—Not less than 13 inches and not more than 24 inches.

Length—Not less than 42 inches and not more than 60 inches.

(2)  Individual markers:

Width—Not less than 12 inches and not more than 18 inches.

Length—24 inches.

The prices of burial space within cemeteries owned or operated by the city shall be as follows:

(1)  Oak Grove Cemetery:

a. Adult burial plots for city resident …..$525.00

b. Adult burial plots for non-resident …..$750.00

c. Infant burial plots for city resident …..$300.00

d. Infant burial plots for non-resident …..$525.00

e. Cremains—Residents …..$300.00

f. Cremains—Non-residents …..$525.00

(2)  Lake Lowery Cemetery:

a. Adult burial plots for city resident …..$525.00

b. Adult burial plots for non-resident …..$750.00

c. Infant burial plots for city resident …..$300.00

d. Infant burial plots for non-resident …..$525.00

No cremains spaces at Lake Lowery

Cremain burials: There will be no burial of cremains during the weekend or holidays. A city staff member will be appointed to do the opening and closing of the burial of cremains only Monday through Friday no later than 4:30 p.m. Cost for the opening and closing for a cremain burial will be $125.00.
